Alpha Level 3

This may seem redundant, but you will continue to build on your airway management skills by continuing to place and hold a facemask, ventilate an apneic patient, place airway adjuncts, place laryngeal mask airways, and intubate live patients.  You will continue to learn more about vital signs monitoring.  Now you will learn to use of the double infusion pump to administer midazolam and remifentanil.

  • Learn how to utilize two infusion pumps for moderate sedation
  • Learn how to safely use and maximize the benefits of narcotics for sedation and anesthesia
  • Review sedation and anesthetic related emergencies on the SimMan™ simulator.
  • Refine and improve all of your techniques skills
